I just purchased this dress on sale in a local BEBE store. When I tried the dress on the first time, I wasn't quite sure it was for me. The usable side/front pockets seemed ackward and too puffy. I am 5'3" with a B-Cup. I thought the dress was a little too much dress for me at first.
I tried on many other items, then I decided to try the dress on again because I did like the flow of the dress and the polka dot print. Very Spring! I tried it on in a different way. I opened the top button on the bodice which made it more beachy and I opened up the buttons from the bottom up, to about mid-thigh. Using a wide red belt added some pop to the dress and matching red wedge heels made me change my mind. I absolutely love it!! As far as the straps that don't stay, I just used a needle and thread, tacked each strap where it did not allow for any slippage. That took 5 minutes to do that.
This dress is AMAZING! I bought it full price and would do it again in a heartbeat. Yes, the straps are adjustable but you just have to fix them to stay. I didn't buy the scarf only because it looked a little much for me- 5'7 120lbs. Also, I am a B-size cup and it looks AMAZING on me! I got so many compliments while wearing it to a semi-formal get together. Now I bought the X-Small, and it's true that it's just a tad snug but that's what gives it the look! Come on, look at the picture. All in all, this dress is absolutely beautiful and worth every penny.
When the dress first came out for $169 I tried it on and was like, no. I think it had to do with the straps. A few weeks before easter the dress went on sale and I tried it on again. I asked my stylist about the straps and she told me I could just use a small needle and thread and tack the straps down once I got them where I wanted them. Overall, I was pleased with the look of the dress. I did purchase the dress and took the stylist suggestions. When I wore this dress on easter Sunday, I really turned heads. Everyone was like, oh I love your dress. Several of my friends asked if they could borrow it. I did purchase the white belt with the polka dot flower on it (also from bebe). I paired the dress with my dark sunglasses, silver and black bangles, and my bebe heart charm sandles in black and silver and the look was really cute and fun. ATTENTION BEBE: I hope one day in the near future your site will allow your clients to upload photos. This could help another fashionista.
I like this dress and everything about it. I had to search for it in the stores by calling customer service. I finally found it! I ordered a large just to make sure. It was too big but since it was on sale, I did not mind having the sides taken in and getting it ajusted. The dress is comfortable and stylish!
I waited until the dress went on sale, and I kind of don't think it's worth $90 still. I'm debating whether to take it back or not. It fits me well, but I haven't worn it long enough to see of the straps stay closed or not. I wish I could find the scarf, I thought it might make it look cuter, but at least there is a small polka dot belt that comes with the dress. I may update my review once I wear it out of the house.
Was SUPER excited for this dress! It was quite a dissapointment. The straps fall apart super easily...I don't know how they would stay up while wearing this dress? They are only adjustable, and if you don't get them exactly the same they just look messy. Now, I am only a B cup, so this did not look good on me. Maybe if you have large boobs you can fill this out better. I am 5'7, 130 lbs and I got the XS. It fit ok, but the waist was a bit snug. Just an ok dress.
LOTS of potential to be fantastic, but just didn't come through. :(
I ordered the dress along with the scarf. The scarf is ok, but the dress is cheap looking. Not worth the 165$, at all. I couldn't keep the dress on, not even for the 10 minutes it took me to try it on, the straps kept falling off. I'm a Large C cup and still doesn't look good...
If you are considering buying it, wait for it to go on sale.
BEBE YALL NEED TO STOP IT THE MATERIAL IS CHEAP AND THE POLKERDOT IS NOT IN RIGHT NOW AM SORRY IT IS TAKKY IF IT WAS IN A COTTON MATERIAL AS WHAT MAXIE DRESSES SHOULD BE IN THEN IT WOULD LOOK BETTER AND WITHOUT THE POLKERDOT IF I WEAR THAT DRESS IN THE SUMMERTIME I WILL HONESTLY GET A HEAT STROKE COME ON BEBE YALL NEED TO DO BETTER
Dress Looks good in the magazine picture, but looks comparatively cheap in the online store pictures. Looks frumpy, with no life, and definitely not $169. Fabric looks cheap. Cute concept, but failed product.
This dress is cheap. The strap came off when I was trying it on. I tried on the black one,so I asked the girl to get me another one and she said all of them were damaged. She gave me a white one to try on and I noticed the pocket was coming off. What... I don’t think this dress is worth 90.00. The dress was falling apart before I could try it on. It looks nice in the pics, but in person nothing the same..
This dress is not the real thing. I tried it on this morning and the white looks cheap with that gold belt and the black one was falling apart. I refuse to buy a dress for 90.00 that I have to repair. The girl that was helping me couldn’t even lie she said not cute because the material. I really want a long dress with straps, but on this on I will pass...
I am visiting Cali from Miami Fl, and decided to do some shopping at Bebe's I loved this dress since I saw it in the magazine, unfortunately the previews comments are true. The straps were completely off and the pockets made my hips look big and I don’t have big hips. I purchased many other cute items, but on this one I passed. The poka dots make it look old fashion.. Dont waste your money on this final sale item for 90.00 you will regret it.
